BizInvoicer ("we", "us", "our") operates the BizInvoicer invoicing application at bizinvoicer.com.au. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("you") in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
When you use BizInvoicer, we collect the following information:

Your data is stored securely in Australia, in our cloud database hosted by Supabase in its Sydney (Australia) region. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL. Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensure that each user can only access their own data - no other user can see your invoices, quotes, clients, or business details.
While no other user can access your data, authorised BizInvoicer personnel may access it where reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, or support the service. We access your data only when needed for those purposes, and never for advertising or resale.
A local cache of your data (excluding sensitive snapshots) is stored on your device using browser localStorage for faster app loading. This cache is cleared when you sign out.
Your account and business data (profile, clients, invoices and quotes) is hosted in Australia, in our database provider's Sydney data centre.
Some limited information is handled by trusted providers that may process it overseas: payments are processed by Stripe (which may process payment information in the United States and other countries under its own privacy and security obligations), and system emails are sent via our email provider. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
We do not sell or rent your personal or business data, and we do not display advertising. To run the service, however, we rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers who process some of your data on our behalf, strictly to deliver BizInvoicer's features:
Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia. By using BizInvoicer you consent to this overseas processing. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your data securely and only for the purposes above.
We may also disclose data if required by Australian law, regulation, or legal process (e.g. a court order).
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete my account, or by contacting us.
When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal working data - your business profile, clients, invoices and quotes - within 30 days.
What we keep, and why: we retain a limited record for legal compliance and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, as permitted under the Australian Privacy Principles. This limited record contains only: your email, business name, the versions of our Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted (with the date and time), your account sign-up and deletion dates, and your payment-provider customer reference. We keep this for up to 7 years, after which it is permanently deleted.
Payment records: payments are processed by Stripe, which retains transaction records independently under its own legal obligations. These are not stored in our database.
Your own records: we do not keep tax records on your behalf. As a business owner you must keep your own invoice records as required by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), so please export your data before deleting your account.
If your account has no active subscription and has not been signed into for 12 months, we may delete it and its associated data after emailing you a warning and giving you an opportunity to export your data.
BizInvoicer uses browser localStorage to cache your data locally for faster loading. We use authentication cookies (managed by Supabase Auth) to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
BizInvoicer is a business invoicing tool intended for use by adults operating a business. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of BizInvoicer after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
